Customer Service Representative
ALTER SURETY GROUP is a premier commercial insurance agency specializing in a niche product called Surety Bonds. We are a well-recognized, rapidly growing agency and are currently looking to add another valued member of our team as a CSR (Customer Service Representative). ASG sets ourselves apart by specializing in BONDS ONLY and we devote ourselves to the needs of Contractors of all trades and disciplines as well as companies needing commercial surety bonds. With our roots going back to 1991, we have developed the expertise in evaluating our clients’ needs and forging relationships which is of the utmost importance between client and surety. We are headquartered in Miami Lakes, FL and recently opened our doors in Austin, TX.
Position Overview:
This full-time position will work heavily in a team setting being responsible for supporting an existing book of surety business. Success in this position requires the ability to thrive in a team-based environment, with a personable and positive attitude, excellent communication & writing skills, solid customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and demonstrated initiative.
Other qualifications are as follows:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively service customers
- Proficient knowledge of standard office equipment including PC skills
- Ability to proactively service a book of business and maintain relationships with clients and sureties
- Be a self-starter; problem solver with good time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to provide ongoing support for team members and colleagues
